To get better at controlling your class you need to do a few things. The primary thing is to become better at your own class and there is only one way of doing that - play it like you mean it. Log several dungeons until you know every spell that your class has available.
When you feel confident with your class it is time to start learning! Boring but oh so usefull. Knowing your enemies spells better than they do is key to winning. When faced with a Warlock that is familiar with all your spells it gets down to who can counter the other player best.
In raids you do well to know your class to the fullest but also what and why the other classes are doing what they are doing. Listening to your class leader and most of all asking your class leader questions is a favourable technique of getting to know your class to the fullest.
Highly important in raiding is patience and if you become skilled at that as a person you will quickly advance in your guild.
